As the the campaign race continues, Peter Kuga Mziray, the presidential candidate of the African Progressive Party of Tanzania, says if a boat from the city centre to Bunju was available then, the huge traffic jam of Dar es Salaam would be reduced.
Mziray believes that these boats would be a life saver to the people who are working in the city centre and living along the Bagamoyo road. “If people can get into these boats with their equipment such as bicycles, trolleys, motor cycles, and cars and reach their destination on time, this would save time and money, and create efficiency”.
Also Mziray takes a step further and says that if there are fly overs on the junctions of Ubungo, Tazara,Magomeni, Karume ans Morocco the issue of traffic jam would be solved.
It is quite true that many Dar es Salaam’s residents spend a lot of time on the road when they should be actually be producing. It is all due to poor infrastructure, and lack of a know how solution, since everything has to be done by a donor.
