AFYA MBELE, ELIMU JUU, AJIRA ZAIDI

Well, with the presidential campaigns on the race, different slogans are likely to be heard.
One of them, which is of a scientific research, is AFYA MBELE, ELIMU JUU and AJIRA ZAIDI.
This is from no one else but Peter Kuga Mziray, the Presidential candidate of African Progressive Party of Tanzania (APPT-MAENDELEO).
He says a nation must have healthy people. By this he means that, every public hospital has to have a register off all the residents a community which it saves, and every individual must at least once a year go for general check up i.e. blood test, in terms of HB, widal Test, and BS. Urine and stool test also must be emphasized. This shall be free of charge.
So Mziray believes that once a person is healthy, then this person can also study well and concentrate in class. No one can think on a sick mind.
On the issue of education, Mziray emphasizes on education in science and technology. Himself, being a scientist, he knows that through science innovations are possible. He recalls back in his time when education was completely free in all aspects i.e. travell fees, hostel equipmentment, stationaries and many more.
To him, the huge number of ward school schools is not an issue whereby the quality of education is worse, in terms of teachers, laboratories, text book, reference books, desks, chairs, and many more.
When it comes to employment, Mziray calls upon reviving factories. Factories which were available in his youthful time are no longer there. He belives that an investor will never encorage the nation into building factories because an investor only focus on HIS benefit and nothing else.
Mziray recalls during the Kagera war, he was in the National Service. They were fed on canned meat from Tanganyika Pekers. “Incase the same sittuation occurs again, how will the soldiers survive, who will feed them, can they afford the high prices of canned meat from the supermarkets?” says Mziray.
So, basically what Kuga Peter Mziray is trying to say is that a nation cannot do without a good health, whereby good health shall lead to quality scientific education, and precisely in the end there shall be Employment. You can’t get employed if you are not educated, and you can’t get educated if you have bad health!
That is what Mziray believes, it is his right as a human being to believe so. Now a challenge to you, “what do you believe in making a change to your society?”
Remember, the change you want to see it comes from you.
BE THE CHANGE THAT YOU WANT IN YOUR SOCIETY. IT BEGINS WITH YOU!
